About Ms Makokomale
An attorney who explains, prepares and appears.
Ntombizodwa Makokomale is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and the director of Makokomale Attorneys Inc., which she opened in 2025. She holds an LLB, cum laude, from the University of South Africa, and trained in civil and criminal litigation before practising in her own name.
Many people know her as Ms Makoks: on TikTok (opens in a new tab) she explains court procedure, divorce and the realities of legal practice to more than 20 000 followers.
The firm is built with women and families in mind. Many women arrive at court carrying the heaviest part of a family’s crisis, so every client, whoever they are, gets the same thing: to be heard properly, advised honestly, and represented by someone who has done the preparation.

How we work
- Get in touch
Call, WhatsApp or send the form. Tell us the kind of matter, not the whole story yet.
- Paid consultation
We look at your documents and tell you honestly where you stand and what your options are.
- Mandate and estimate
You receive a written estimate of fees and disbursements before any work starts.
- We prepare and appear
Drafting, service through the sheriff, indexing and pagination, then court.
- Updates to the end
You hear from us after every step and every appearance, until the matter is finalised.
How we practise
Honest advice, even when it’s not what you hoped.
We tell you early what your prospects are, and we won’t create work you don’t need.
Prepared, every time.
Bundles indexed and paginated, papers served correctly, deadlines met.
Fair litigation.
We file on time and deal with the other side and the court respectfully.
Respect for every client.
Everyone is heard properly and treated with dignity, whoever they are.
Fees and access
- Consultations are paid and booked in advance.
- We can’t give quick advice in DMs or over a voice note. A proper look at your matter protects you.
- An estimate before we begin.
- Fees and disbursements (sheriff’s fees, copies, filing) are set out in writing so you can decide with full information.
- If you can’t afford an attorney.
- Legal Aid South Africa may represent you for free if you qualify. In divorces involving children, the Family Advocate’s services are free.
For law students
Ms Makokomale qualified through UNISA and served articles the hard way. She keeps the door open for the next generation, especially students who are told their degree counts for less.
